Miss Jean Nicholas 3. Sacred solo, baritone or bass—Robert Lafferty (Christchurch) 1, P. L. Brady Piano solo—Miss Dorothy Talbot 1 George M’Kay 2, Clifford Keum' pm., 3. . Championship recitation (girls under Jb) First section: Gwenedoline Dalton (Napier) 1, Sinclair Breen 2. Second section: Mavis Ritchie (Christchurch) 1 Kathleen O’Brien 2, Hazel Johnstone (Dunedin) 3. Sacred solo (contralto) —Miss Olga V ncked 1, Miss Ida Bnelling 2. Scottish song (gentlemen)—H. Phinns 1, A. Mottershead 2. \ ocal solo, with accompaniment and obbligato—Miss Corrie Aslin 1 H Phipps 2, Mrs Wildish (Gisborne) 3. Miss Dorothy Talbot, one of the competitors in the open piano sections ,r„ the competitions, was successful in winning all the open classes and the piano championship, as well as a gold medal, a gold watch, and other prizes. Mlie is the daughter of Dir A. J. Talbot, Superintendent of Telegraphs.
