Roberts (Minister of Food Control), addressing the .Labour Conference, anncunced « resumption of the control of fish with a view to reducing prices. It is expected that the pneo oi bacon will fall at the Now Year, and a reduction in the prices of other commodities will bo effected as exports arc increased, thereby corresting the adverse exchange. Australian and New Zealand niogt is arriving in large quantities, and is being sold to wholesalers at a. loss.
