RECORD CARNIVAL WEEK.

Figures submitted to the Tramway Board yesterday showed that a record wa£ established during Carnival "Week in the matter of receipts on all lines. The tigures were as follow:

Wood said that Christchurch. did not know what overcrowding was. In Sydney he bad seen passengers travelling on the roof. The report was adopted. Another report for the four weeks ended on October 26 was submitted as follows;

The receipts for the seven months of the financial year were given at £103,323, as against £SS,G46 last year, an increase of 16.5 per cent.
