FAVOURABLE ASPECT. (Pir Presi Association.] AUCKLAND, November 17. The butchers’ strike assumed a more favourable aspect from a business point of view to-day, auxiliary labour obtained by the employers enabling them to keep open a large percentage of their shops. Members! of the unioii assembled in the vicinity of several of the shops, but nothing -was done to hinder the operations of the men employed. The unionists are determined to hold out. They will march through the streets tfc-taorrow and will make a massed demonstration in Queen Street, in the hope of influencing public sentiment.
