During the past week, Canon Hamilton (who is leaving Fendalton) was made tho recipient of two gifts from tho children of the district. On Thursday last the scholars of the public school presented him with a bookcase as a token of their appreciation of his work at the school in imparting rcligius instruction, extending over a period of twenty-on© years. On Sunday the St Barnabas Sunday (School children gave him a travelling clock. In addressing tho congregation for the last time on Sunday evening, Canon Hamilton said he was deeply touched by the children’s loving gifts and ho would always attach tho greatest value to them. v
