TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l was very pleased to read tho article in Saturday’s issue of your paper in support of the through passenger and mail service between Christchurch and Invercargill, beinn. immediately reinstated. The Canterbury Progress League has this matter in hand and has already communicated with the other development leagues and kindred organisations, together with members of Parliament, throughout the South Island, with a view to combined action being taken. I trust that our united efforts will result in the ideal of the twenty-four-hour trip between Wellington and Invercargill being an accomplished fact' at no distant date.—l am, etC ’’ P. R. CLBHE.
