A Wellington telegram states that' the settlement of the Golden Bay cement employees’ dispute is reported. White-baiting is now in lull swing in« the south, and some fair catches have ‘ been made in the river in the vicinity of Balclutha. ■ , The Tramjvay Board commenced to make repairs to the New Brighton tramway .bridge this morning. The whole of the surface will bo removed and replaced, and several improvements to the structure of the bridge will.be made. During the period that the repairs are in progress all vehicular traffic to and from New Brighton will have to go via the Bower bridge. Wo trams will cross the brides, and passengers will have to walk across it from one car to another. ■ }
