Mr Charles lower, Berlin correspondent of “ The limes,' 1 reports that Germany is sending a host of commercial travellers to the Argentina, where they hope to grab the trade from America, promising in return for trade to absorb the whole surplus production of wheat, meat, aides and wool. Americans living in Germany are bemg placated for trade reasons, the argument being that as America sufreied tew casualties in the war they should forgive and forget. On the ~e r. “ an d French merchants are compe led to buy in Germany, which is the only place where the franc is at a premium.
