DISPOSAL OF SPECIAL WAR FUND. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 22. The Minister of Internal Affairs Las agreed to £IOOO of the Mercantile Marine Fund collected by the Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association during the war, being handed to the War Funds Council to he invested, “and that a committee shall he set up to investigate claims in New Zealand. The balance of £5719 has been forwarded, through the Government, to he. distributed by the High Commissioner in London in conjunction with Mr James Witt, the London manager of Messrs Sargood’s.
