KEEPING A GAMING HOUSE.

[Per Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, August 15. William Atkinson, charged with using a billiard saloon as a gaming house, and William Ratcliffe, charged with aiding him, both pleaded guilty. The police stated that Ratcliffe was the chief offender. He was a bookmaker, and used the room to carry on that business. Ratcliffe was fined £SO, and Atkinson £lO and costs.
