PARIS, August 11, Official: —Since the raising of tho blockade prices of food in Germany have fallen 50 per cent. Meat is now 4s 6d per pound, butler 18s per lb, and potatoes lid per lb. The British authorities at Cologne have issued a proclamation that the Allies are entitled to tho benefit of all preferential tariffs which Germany has granted to Foreign Rowers since August, 1914-_ The proclamation refuses to recognise Germany’s demand that duties shall be paid in gold or paper cufrcncy aba reduced rat© of exchange.
