WOOL SALES _ Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Christchurch, have received the following* cable message from their London office, dated July 14:—Wool sales resumed to-day. There is a fair selection, but a good deal of it is burry. Competition is fair. As compared with closing rates of last sales, average to good merinos are 5 per cent cheaper, infetior merinoes are 74 per' cent cheaper, whilst cross-breds are pat to 5 per cent cheaper. RANGIORA MARKET. The yarding of live stock at the Rnngiora market to-day comprised 107 fat sheep, 2019 stores, 77. head of cattle and' 120 pigs. The prices were;— Prime fat ewes 31s'3d to Ssa 3d, medium weights 24s 9d to 36s 6d, wethers 33s 9<l, hoggets 25s 6d to 365, store ewe hoggets 26s to 27s 6d, wether Hoggets ’ 23s to 24s 2d, mixed sex hoggets 11s lOd to 19b, two-tooth ewes 24a to 36s lid, six and eighttooth 27s 9d, os to. 15s Cd.
