ADDINGTON YARDS.

METROPOLITAN MARKET. TO-DAY’S SALE, (Per Pigeon Pest.) The attendance at the Addington market to-day was well up to the average. Expectations of a short market on account of the dislocation of tho train service were not altogothor realised, the yarding of fat cattle being a, good one, many lines being brought down by road, while others arrived by this morning’s trains. The penning of sheep, though, was on the small side-, very few stores coming forward, while there wu-s only a moderate entry of fat lambs, tho season now being practically over. There were only about seven races of fat sheep, and much of the yarding came to hand later than usual.. PAT CATTLE.

At the commencement of the sale the entry of fat cattio totalled 33‘2 head, but the morning trains brought in some good additional consignments, one firm alone receiving seventy-two head by the late delivery, and ultimately the yarding became well up-to the average of recent markets. Business started firm at slightly increased prices on last week, due to the operations of export buyers. Good lines came forward
