Hie Government has decided to make substantial concessions to assist soldicrs who are bringing their fiancees tioin England, these immigrants will not be assisted to the extent of soldim s wives, but the Government subsidy represents a reduction of £26 on the passage money, bringing it within the la.ugo of the soldier who nitehfi otherwise have difficulty m making arrangement at the current rates of passage for ordinary travellers. First and second class rates for soldiers’ wives apply only to officers and noncommissioned officers holding the rauk of sergeant or higher.
