POINTS OF INTEREST. The main roll for Christcliuroh North closed -with 8718 names, and the supplementary roll -vvith 4710 claims. As some of these claims may he duplicates, the actual number on the supplementary roll is not yet ascertainable, but the present huge total of 13,428 onvery much larger roll than that of 1914, when there were SGO2 names or the main roll and 2443 on the supplementary roll, a total of 11,045. The roll must bo cleared in respect of transfer notices for electors who have claimed in other districtsThe question has been raised as towhether the results for the cities will bo lumped. Mr F. Evans states that for the purposes of tho special licensin' poll each electoral district will be a licensing district. This will ho a departure from the old system, in whichtho three city electorates constitutes one licensing district. Therefore there will ho 76 results from the whole of New Zealand, tho four Maori electorates being counted out, as Maoris cannot vote unless they are returned soldiers. The results will bo announced expeditiously on the night of the poll as the counting of two issues will ho a simple matter.
