HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
AMATEUR COTTAGE GARDEN COMPETITION.
Owing to an oversight three competitors were wrongly disqualified in Class 1 for ha 11-acre sections in the amateur cottage garden com petition. These gardens wore judged .yesterday. The following is the official result of tho competition:—
Glass I.—Best-kept Setion, not oxccding Hali-»n-are.
SPECIAL PHIZES
Best kept vegetable garden, won by Mr Edward Hill. Best garden of,.flowoers and shrub;, won by Mr A- Blakeway, 20 points. Best garden for effect., won by Mr Edward Evans. Best rose garden, won by Mr A. Blakeway, 20 points.
