A.'Honan, Minister of Education, arrived in , Christchurch from the south last evening, and accepted an invitation, as Minister in charge of Friendly Societies, to attend a banquet given to members of the Grand Lodge of Druids. This morning, at y.30 o’clock, ho will receive a dopatation from Shirley residents on the affairs of the local school'.- - He will motor to North Beach, and-will receive a deputation on a similar question there. At 11.30, in the ministerial room, Government Buildings, he will receive a deputation from the West Christchurch School Committee on the question of rebuilding. At 2 p.m. he", will attend the monthly meeting of the North Canterbury, Education' Board and' discuss- several educational:questions' Jl’lP .He will leave for Welhoctoh this • evening. • -
