j METROPOLITAN MARKET. TO-DAY’S SALE. (Per the “StRtV Pigeon 'Express.) Moderate entries came forward at the Addington metropolitan Market to-day, the sale being held under favourable weather conditions. In (’no fat sheep and cattle sections the entries showed decreases, but thera was, considering the season of the year, a go-ad representation of storo sheep, Slhte cattle wore in moderate supply. There was a good attendance. PAT CATTLE. The yarding of fat cattle was an abnormally small one, being limited to 117 head, compared with 22.1 at Iho previous sale. Quality was again excellently represented, seme of tho most prominent lines coming from Conne,mnra, Messrs A. H. Fleming, A. Henderson, J. ■ M’Grath and .Sir George Clifford. As a result of the short supply there was a sharp riro in values. The number of sales at prices over £29 was exceptionally large. The range‘of prices was: Extra prime' steers to £29, Prime steers, £l9 10s to £26. ' Ordinal y steers. £ll to £l9. Prime heifer?. £ls to £ls 15s.
