, WHAKATANE, August '26. ■ The Hon W. H. Hcrries, Native Minister, unveiled a monument at Bnatoki yesterday, in .memory of Nnmia. Kerem, late chief of ‘iho Tahoe, tribe. Representative' natives and Europeans worn present, a gathering 0 f over a thousand, including Ilua, with sixtytwo Native recruits he had enlisted, also the Hons Sir James Carroll. A.
