RUSSIA AND RUMANIA.
A VIGOROUS COUNTER-OFFEN-SIVE. VARIOUS SUCCESSES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association «-ud Reutcr. (Received August 16, noon.) PARIS, August 15. A wireless Russian official message states:— The Rumanian troops continued their counter-offensive and occupied the village of Sltinic. They also dislodged the enemy from tho heights south-west of Grozechti. - The offensive is developing. Russian and Rumanian troops repulsed attacks in the direction of Focsani, also in the region of Maksimeni. A wireless German official message says:—The enemy is beginning to yield in tho mountain area of Rumania between fhe Trotus, Putna and Sereth. (Received August 16 1.30 p.m.) LONDON. August 15. A wireless Russian official messago says:— Tho enemy occupied a height westJ of "Ocna. The Rumanians repulsed attacks in the Casinu Valley. Our counter-attack drove out the enemy, who penetrated our trenches near Krodcheni.
