FUNERAL.

The funeral of tho labe Mr William Efford, sen., took place at Rangiora this afternoon, and was largely attended. Mr Efford having been a member of the Five Brigade for many years ithei firemen were present as a body, in full uniform, and the coffin was conveyed to the Presbyterian Cemetery on the manual engine. Six members of tho brigade acted as bearers. The Boroughi Council, the Xorth Canterbury Poultry Club the Rangiora Bowling. Tennis and Croquet Club', the .Sons and Daughters nf Temperance and Good Templars wera represented. The Rev W. H. Howea conducted the service at the grave.
