FOR DISABLED SOLDIERS.
THE KITCHENER MEMORIAL

Lord Derby, speaking in Loudon, outlined the objects of the Kitchener memorial. Lord' Kitchener, he said, often spoke regarding the outlook for those disabled in the war, and the subject keenly interested him. Lord Derby felt that the noblest memorial. would be to raiso a fund to provide for officers and men likely to be bedriddon for life ; with the necessary surgical appliances to alleviate their sufferings. It was proposed to help sufferers iu their oven hemes.
In addition, one of the largest houses' in London had been given as a home for disabled' soldiers; and fitted with the most modern appliances. It would be nnder the supervision of Sir Fredreick Treves. All colonial soldiers remaining in England after the war would be entitled to the benefits of the fund.
