NEW TR '.M SHELTER A deputation, consisting of Mesdames l J aterson, Day and Blythe and blisses Roberts, Henderson and Gordon, representing the "Women's Christian Temperance Union, waited on the Mayor at his looms in the Council Chambers this morning, and asked that in the new tramway shelter in Cathedral Square provision should be made for an adequate for ladies Miss Roberts said that some women found it necessary to bring young children into the city, and there should ( be some place where they could obtain a rest with their children. Mrs Paterson said that it was nursing mothers who should he mainly considered in the matter. In Sydney, thp central railway station made provisions in that respect r Jho Mayor said that he was sure that provision would bo made for women m the pians. The City Council would have control of the new building, because it would he on the city's property, and In could assure tho lad'es that their wishes would be fully considered.
