THE ZEDLITZ CASE.
[Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 2. Professor von-Zedlitz has sent a letter to the chairman of the Victoria-Col-lege Council in which; after reviewing tho campaign against him he plicss himself unreservedly in the hands of the council to take any course-they please towards him. He denies that-.he is a German subject, and states that, he has taken the oath 'of allegiance -to • Queeu Victoria, Edward . VII. and Ge.org V-. and' would do so again if permitted, but in view of the fact that irrrs.istjb- 1 * pressure .is threatened against the college council by'the Irghest authority in. the country, he feels that it is due to the council that.he should place, liimeelf in their I hands.
