I*o THE EDITOR. Sir,—Referring to the resignation of the Rev P. J. AYainwright," of Gisborne, the writer agrees with " Bruno" on his comments of the mentality of the late congregation. Surely truth is at a premium when a. man such as the Rev P. J. AVainwright, with the. moral courage to utter his eomictions [ regarding the hereafter of the slain—conviction which should have, brought comfort to bereaved mothers—has to tender his resignation because hit; con- j gregation doesn't sec eye m eye with j him on the subject.. The reverend j gentleman seemingly is accused of un- j orthodoxy. Surely the gospel of Faith. Hope and Charity such a.s he} gave utterance to- -is not unorthodoxy. j but purely scriptural. Of course, wo i all know -" A prophet hath no honour] in his own country," and if the Rap- j Mst people- cannot appreciate the Rev j V. .1.
