Two hundred and fifty girl students fled for their lives when fire, broke out in a college hall at "Wellesley, Massachusetts. Many groped their way through tho smoke which filled the rooms, and descended the fire escapes. No one was injured. One hundred other college residents were also in peril, but escaped. Tho slightest panic would inevitably have caused a holocaust. The college was completely wiped out.
