Semple, of tlio New Zealand Federation of Labour is a passenger by tho Maunganui. He says that the. industrial orginisations in the dominion received a severe blow through the recent strike, but woro not defeated.' He 'expressed the opinion that the result of the next' elections woidd bo that tho Massey Government would suffer defeat. He criticised the Government's treatment of the workers, and said that it was worse than Botha's treatment of the South' African workers.
