H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND.

AT NAPIER. [Per Press Association.] NAPIER, April 25. H.M.S. New Zealand arrived at 7.30 this morning and anchored in the roadstead. A Maori party boarded tho warship and tendered her a characteristic welcome. ' The Mayor and the chairman of the Harbour Board paid an official visit to Captain Halsey, who returne dthe visit later. The weather is fine and great crowds are arriving to view the ship. Sergeant-Major Le Mottee, of the local Pefence staff, is arranging for Rugby football. Association football and hockey matches between teams from H.M.S. New Zealand and from the Chfistchurcli Territorials. It is not proposed to mako any charge for admission, but to take up a collection in aid of the Territorial sports fund.
