While Percy Cornwall was making a trial spin in «> 100 h.p. motor-car at the Alexandra Park, in company with a boy named "William Hinkley, one tyre burst, and tho motor crashed into a fence, which was demolished for about twenty yards. Cornwall was slightly cut and the bov, who had four ribs fractured, was removed to tho hospital. TIMAItU, April 25.

By a collision at 4 p.m. yesterday between a motor-car driven by "W. Porter and a bicycle ridden by a young woman named Daley, the latter was seriously injured. Her face was much cut about and the glass from the screen injured her left eye, of which it is said she will lose tho sight. Her left leg was also cut and she is suffering severely from shock.

John Hitchcock, who assaulted his sister and inflicted wounds upon her with a razor at Akaroa, is not making further improvement at the Hospital. His condition to-day is 110 better than it was yesterday.
