Turning into the back stretch Heirloom and Forward drew out, followed by Icel, and they remained in front to tho five-furlong pest, where Forward hit a hurdle and dropped back. Icel then went on in front, while Don Rubyl and Ilakari moved up. Icel lead into into the straight, but at the last hurdle he was joined by Ilakari and Don I'ubvl, who fought out a good finish, which ended in favour of Hakari by a gocd head. Parallel was six lengths away third, just in front of Icel and Forward. Time—3min 15sec. '

Hegarty) 0 ■Waikaraka fell at the first hurdle, and running past the stand Bandalero and Beacon were snowing the way to Cardiff and Coronetted, who were followed by Nedra and Gold Pin. Going out of the straight Beacon drew out three lengths clear of Bandalero, who was a similar distance in front of Coronetted, with Nedra, Cardiff, St Kevin and Gold Pin next. Running down tlio back Beacon continued to show the way, but at the eixfurlong j?ost Bandalero fell back beaten. Turning for home Coronetted closed on Beacon, and at the last hurdle Nescot and St Kevin also joined in. Onco over the last obstacle Coronetted tired, and after a good finish Beacon beat St Kevin by a length, Nescot was three lengths away third, half a length in front of Coronetted, with Ncdra and Waipureka some distance away at tho head of the others. Running past Cutts'a, Uranium was well clear of Koran,^who was closely followed by White Cockade and Sandy Paul, with The Rover moving up fast on the outside. There was no change at the milo post, except that The Rover was still improving' his position. Two furlong's further on the field closed up a little, but Uranium was still two lengths clear of Koran, who hud White Cockade, The Rover, Sandy Paul, Black Northern and Bully 'rust behind hirp- Running round the turn The Rover went in pursuit of Uranium, and they were together, well clenr of White Cockade, when the straight was reached. At tlio distance The Rover drew away nnd won comfortably by three ionpth3 from Uranium, who was four lengths in front of "White Cocknde. with Sandy Paul fourth, followed bv Black Northern, Darby Paul. At the stand doubio Continuance, Paritutu, Hawick, To Tua and The Gunner wore in cloao order, but running out of the straight, Continuance nnd The Gunner drew out clear, followed by Glenmore and Hawick. At Cutts's fence Continuance, The Gunner, Glenmore and Hnwiek were together, six lengths in front of Te Tua and Paritutu, with Captain Jinglo and Armagh six lengths further back. To Tua lost liis rider at Cutts's, nnd at the sod wall Continuance, Glenmore sfnd The Gunner were six lengths out in front of Hawick, with Paritutu nest, some distance in front of Captain Jinglo and Armagh. On reaching the Kennc's double Continuance was two lengths clear of The Gunner and Glenmore, who were six lengths in front of Hawick and Paritutu, with Captain Jinglo a few lengths further back. were in charge, Captain Jingle moved up fast. At tho stand double Glenrnoro had a lead of six lengths from Continuance, who was just clear of Paritutu, Hawick, Captain Jinglo and Armagh, with The Gunner next, and Hautero and Zante a long way back. Hautoro hit tho second of tho stand double, but his rider mado a good, recovery. At Cutts's Glcmnore was showing tho way to Paritutu, witli Captain Jingle and Hawick c'oso up, followed by Continuance and Armagh. A littlo further on Continuance dropped out, and at tho sod wall Captain Jingle and Paritutu wcro showing clear of Armagh, Hawick and Glenmore. On reaching tho post and rails, where Continuance lost his rider, Captain Jingle had drawn away three lengths from Armagh and Paritutu, and theso three were together at the sod wall, where Armagh made a bad jump. Captain Jingle was first into the straight, and he ran home a comfortable winner by four from Paritutu, who beat Armjgh by a length for second niace, with Hawick two lengihs away and Gienmore some distance further back. Half a mile further on Tolstoi dropped back, Craigdugald joining Pukeroa at tho sod wall. They raced together over the post and rails, the kennels double and the big sod wall, but in the Tun home Pukeroa always had something in hand, and ho won comfortably by six lengths.
