WIRELESS DISPTUE.
MARCONI COMPANY'S CLAIM
CASE BEFORE APPEAL COURT. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 2.3. The Appeal Court to-day is occupied with the hearing of tho case Marconi Wireless Company v. the King. The proceedings aio but an episode of tho world-wide dispute between tho Marconi Company and the owners of the Telefuuken system as to the validity of the respective patents. The New i'ealand Government had entered into a contract with tlie Australian Wireless, Ltd., for the establishment of stations workable under the Telefunken system. The Marconi Company has brought a petition" of_ right alleging actual and theatened infringement of its patents and claiming damages, roliel and an injunction. This also affects tho wireless station already in operation at tho Post Office, Wellington. Tho questions of law to'bo argued are as to whether there is cause of action and whether the Court has jurisdiction. The Solicitor-General appears fot tho Crown and Mr Bell, Tv.C., Mr Skerrett, K.C., and Mr .Meek for tho Marconi Company.
