COMPULSORY TRAINING.
TO TV! E EDITOH. Sir, —Your correspondent " Unregistered " plaintively but defiantly bleats his woes to the no doubt apathetic multitude. He exhorts his fellow citizens to keep their freedom by not registering. He quite ajrrees with the boy Cooke, who piped forth his valiant protest to the unsympathetic beak." Mo doubt he considers Cooke a " blessed martyr," and one to be revered and worshipped as an example of British fortitude. He calls himself a Briton. " Ob, the folly of voutli." His freedom that lie boasts of would not bo worth a iig if we abandoned armament:;. As for his decision about not Registering, I think he will have ample time to reflect upon his folly after the dread sentence of " twenty-ona days' hard " has been pronounced.—l nni. etc., G.C.
