DnuxKExxEss.—One first offender for drunkenness was fined 5s and costs, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, and another, a- woman, was convicted and discharged. iNeoHiuGiar/K.—Laura May Chaffey was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, with hard labour, oil a charge of being an incorrigible rogue, having no lawful means of support. The Ini'luexch or Dnixs. —Mary Dunn, a married woman, admitted having stolen a pair of corsets, valued at 8s 6d, from tho D.I.C. It was stated that she had been under the influence of drink when sho took the articles. Restitution had been made. Sho was fined 20s and costs, in default fourteen days' imprisonment. Anotheii Overcoat Stolkx.—JohnDe Me/.a was charged with having stolen a silk muffler, a pair of gloves and an overcoat, valued at £4 Bs, the property of Oliver H. Barries. He admitted the offence. The police stated that the muffler and gloves had been in the pockets of the coat, which had been hanging up in the vestibule of St Luke's Church. Ho was fined 40s and costs, in default oas? month's imprisonment.

Judgment was given for the defendant without costs. Judgment Summons Oask.—James Patterson. (Mr Cuningham) obtained an order against H, D. "Davenport for the payment of £1 10;-, iu default two days' imprisonment.
