ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
[Pes Pkess Association-.] NAPIER, August 4. A young married woman, named Alice May Bewden, was found early this morning lying unconscious at tho foot of the high cliff near the District School. It appears that she had suffered for a long time- from insomnia, and "ob into a very low state of health. Her husband missed her shortly before daybreak, and she was found later as described, having fallen about 15Q feet. Serious internal injuries are feared, and it is considered that thore is little hope of her recovery. WESTPORT, August 4. Two employees at tho WestportStockton Coal Company's mine, named Bertram Malphas, a motorman, and Stephen Hassett, a brakesman, 'were injured through being caught between the motor ajid a rake of trucks. Malphas was brought into Westport Hospital.
