AMUSEMENTS.
THEATRE ROYAL.
The attendance at the Theatre Royal last even big was much larger than at the previous performances of " Pete,' arid the presentation by Messrs Clarke and Meynell's company of Mr Parker's clever dramatisation of " Tho Manxman" appealed strongly to the audience. -Mr H. R. Roberts again merited warm approval for his presentation of Pete Quilliam, his work in tho last two scenes being remarkably good. Ho wa.s well supported, by Miss Beatrice Day and other members of the company. "Pete" will be staged again this evening.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
A large audionco witnessed the concluding presentation of the week's programme at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, and the pictures were well received. A new selection of the Pathe pictures will be shown this evening, some of the pictures being " Scenes in Italy," "India's Beauty Spot," '"'.A Father's Heart" and "The Broken Spoil." There will be a. representation of one of tho recent Northern Union football matches between England and Australia, and the chronomegaphone items will be " The Saftest of the Family." sung by Harry Lauder, " A Night in Venice" and "Waltz Again, Willie." Tho week's program me of Fuller's Pictures was successfully shown for the last time at the Colosseum last evening. A new selection of pictures will be shown at a matinee this afternoon, and again this evening. A film taken from a motor drive through tho Gorges d'Hault will bo one of the principal attractions, and another film will portray the Swedish Canals. Other pictures will be "Itigollo," "'The Indian Chief's Generosity," "Michael Strogoff 5 ' and "'The Way of tho World." OPERA HOUSE. Tho final presentation of the week's programme at tho Opera House last evening attracted a large audience, and the iilms and turns provided by the Empire Vaudeville and Picture Company met with a hearty reception. This evening among the new pictures will be a film hv tho American Biograph Company entitled " The Unchanging Sea," and another dramatic subject called "Tlio Mistaken Bandit." In addition to tho other- vaudeville turns, Mr Garden Wilson and Miss Pearl Hellmrich will reappear.
