One of the best spins was put up by AIL Red and Diablo, the former being in front at the end of a mile, run .in lmin 53isec. Elysian easily held First Gun over six furlongs, run in lmin 18 l-sseo. Lord Kelvin, Killaloe and Inspection sprinted three lurlongs, and ftuished in that order. Sir Tristram was naif a dozen lengths ahead of Hilarian at the end of five furlongs, run in lmin lleeo. Gold Crest and St Bill covered the same, distance in lmin 9sec. Sw.mming Belt and Ludy Medallist ran a mile in lmin Sotec Gip?y Belle and Simplex ran five furlonga in lmin 9Jseo. Lbngner, Truganini ar.d Magnet' finished in that .order over half a mile. Many- others did useful work.
