[Peb Pbess Association.] ' NELSON, April 2. The weather, was fairly fine for the .fiist day of the Nelson Jockey Club's meeting. The following are the details of the racing-; — TRIAL HACK RACE, of 30 soys; five furlongs—Curator 1, King Try 2, Pharmaceutical 3. Balmy Breeze, Bridesmaid and King Wreath also started. Time— lrflin 5 3-ssec. TROT HANDICAP, of 40 soys; one mile and a half— King- John, 46sec, 1 ; Chiefling, 44gec, 2; Glenidol, lOsee, 3. Time-4min 24 3-Ssec. NELSON CUP, of 100 soys; one mile— San Fernando, Bst 3lb, 1; Lawn Rose. Bst, 2; Silken Rein, 9st Blb. 3. Golden Gate 83t Blb and Gold Bird 6&t 12lb also started. Time — lmin 46 3-sseo.
