Copper On spot, £56 17s 6d per ; ton. Tin.— On' spot. £134 10a per ton; three months', £135 12s 6d per ton. Silver. — Is lljd per ounce. Wheat. — Two cargoes of Australian, wheat sold at 40s 6d and 4.0s 9d, and , 12,000 quarters of April-May shipment at 41s 3d. The American visible supply is 62,200,000 quarters. Mr J. 0. Jameson, of the Canterbury Stock Exchange, quotes to-day's prices as follow :— Waihi, buyers £9 4s, sellers £9 4s 6d; Waihi Consolidated, sellers Is 9d; Waihi Grand Junction, buyers 28s 9d, sellers 295; Talisman, buyers 46s 6d, sellers 46s 9d; National Bank, buyers 105s, sellers 107s; Bank of New Zealand, buyers £8 13s, sellers £8 16s ; Ashburton Gas, ' sellers £6; Paparoa Coal (fully paid), sellers 20s; West-port-Stockton, sellers 9s; Dalgety and Co., sellers £6: Crown Brewery Co., sellers 295; British-New Zealand Meat, sellers 20s; Manning and Co:, sellers . ; 80s; Ward and Co., sellers 100s; Mortite Limited, sellers £60. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Christchurch, have received from their London office, dated March 31 and April 1, the following cable messages: — "Since our last telegram prices of tallow in general are unchanged." — " Frozen Meat.-^Limited demand, at prices somewhat in buyers' favour generally, especially lamb, which may be quoted at id per 1b lower since our last telegram. 5 ' ' The British-New Zealand Meat and Produce Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from London: — "Lamb market t decidedly stronger; tendency upwards."
