The frustration of a plot to assassinate General 'Gomez completed President Castro's downfall. The conspirators intended to seize the administration and,. with the army, overawe the population. TEe prisoners include Castro's brother. A document *ued in the High Federal Court' proposes to impeach Castro for complicity. His jnoney supplies have been stopped. General Gomez has issued a proclamation promising a decorous and pacific solution of internal disputes. The decree of which Holland complained has been revoked.
