Miss Drummond made a call on a friend, Mrs Lillis, when Edward Lillis called Miss Drummond aside arid .fatally shot ,her. The murderer then blew out his own brains. Some time ago Lillis proposed marriage to Miss Drummond, but was rejected. Subsequently the girl became engaged to another suitor. The victims were members of prominent families.
