Many of Abdul Aziz's soldiery have joined Mulai Hafid's forces. At the commencement of the fight between the two armies under tho rival Sultans Abdul's artillery proved ineffective owing to a panic caused by guns bursting. Active preparations are being made at Tangier for the proclamation of Mulai Ha Ad sj-s Sultan.
