AUSTRALIAN RULES.
The final match of the season was played at St Alban's Park, the competing teams being Carlton and. Imperials, and* the latter succeeded in winning the Na6h Shield for the second time. The game was keenly contested throughout, and was strenuous at intervals. In tlie first quarter the only score was a behind for Carlton. On changing ends Imperials scored a minor point, but this was quickly followed by M'Donald scoring a goal for Carlton. At half-time Carlton were leading by seven points to four. In the third spell play was even, both sides failing to iscore. Carlton attacking hard in the last quarter increased their lead by a behind, w)ion Addison, from a snap-

Tbe Imperial's success was - mainly due to Cox, Paisley, Stammers, Bunbury and Henry. For Carlton, Wilkins (two), Clarke, Pearce, M'Donald, and Watson were the most prominent. Mr Witcher was referee.
