| * Excellent entries have been received for the Canterbury Kennel Club's ! show, which will be held next week. A total of 197 dogs will be on exhibition, comprising 365 entries. The bull-dogs are representative of all parts of New Zealand, and they should prove a feature of the show. The cocker spaniels make a big list, among them being several winners from the recent Dunedin show. The entry of fox terriers has exceeded expectations, and keen competition is expected, while the Scottish terriers are a strong lot, including several well-known North Island does. The Irish terriers will excite special notice, this being one of the challenge classes allotted by the New Zealand Kennel Club.
