(Received May 27, 8.48 a.m.) CALCUTTA, May 26. The Utmankels tribesmen lost a hundred men in the recent fighting, and tendered their submission, offering to pay any fine demanded. They numbered 8000. Their position was easily turned by the 53rd Sikhs, who seized the crest of the hills. The tribesmen were exposed to shrapnel, maxim and magazine rifle fire.
