', 'Per Prkss Association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, December 18. r To-day was comparatively an off day at ' Awapuni, and the majority of the horses competing at the Manawatu meeting were restricted "to useful pacing; work. E. putts arrived yesterday wiai Sister Anne and De Witte. They were first out this morning, but the pair were restricted to pacing work. Catapult and Dusky Morn also arrived. The latter put up an attractive six furlongs, and is evidently in very fair form. Dream and Crucineilo- galloped fiya furlongs fast, tho latter having the best of the gallop. lho Cup candidates, Tangiinc-ana, Montigo and Bourrasquo, did useful work., as did also Rangipapa, Tangeroa, Prospector, Oakl&igh, and numerous others. All worked on the plough. Prosser has secured accommodation f-cr eight kcrtses, Pritchard for live, Tilley for four and H. Hickey for five.
