FOOTBALL.

A match between the employees of Dalgety and Co. and the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. was played at Hagley Park on Saturday, and in spite of the bad weather a fast game was witnessed by a good number of tho supporters of each team. Mr A. H. Noall undertook tho unenviable duties of referee, and his decisions gave universal satisfaction. The game ended in & win f-nr Dalgety and Co. by 14 points to 3. For the winners Rcbinson (2) and Smith scored tries, and Newman kicked a goal from a mark. For the losers Rogers scored a try.
