PALMERSTON NORTH COURSING CLUB. [Pkr Press Association.! • PALMERSTON NOIUH. July 18. The finals of tlie Maiden utake and the Members' Sweepstake, at the Palmerston North Coursing Club's meeting, were run yesterday in fine weather The ground was good and there was a large attendance. The final of the Maiden Stake was an excerjtionajly interesting course, Messrs Fitzgerald Bros Wellington, winning the stake with St 01---liver, who beat Lady Cardigan, the nomination of Mr W. J. Williams, Feiiding, the points for the final course being eight to six. In the Members' Sweepstake. Mr H. Overton's Searchlight and Mr Moss's Rose remained in the final, and the owners decided to divide the prize. The club m«de the substantial profit of £100 over the fixture*.
