THIS DAY. [Per the "Star's'"' Pkjkon Express.] There was a fairly large yarding of fat- st-ock at Addingtc-n to-day, but stores, owing to the poor demand existing re-ccMitJy, ware not so plentiful. Fat Lamjis. — The entry was eir.ialler thaai that of they previous week, and though, a few lots of 'really prime freezers wore offered the bulk was of medium quality. There was a keen demand on the part of expert buyers and butchers for best torts at prices which showed a. slight .advance, but for ordinary lots tho market' was unaltered. PTimo freezers brought from 14s to 186, tegs to 23s 9d, light and unfinished 11s to 13a 6d. Fat Cattle. — The entry totalled 276 head, ©f which the larger proportion was far from prime. The dcanand was fairly good at about late rates. Tweu-ty-ona steers sold on account cf E. D. Giles, Parnassus Estate, real bed £9 L~s to £11 17s 6d. Other steers brought £6 10s to £11, heifers £4 12s 6d to £7, cows £4 12s Gd to £(5. The price* of beef .ranged at about 2i)s to 23s 6d ■pen- 1001 b. Veal Calves were in ple-ntiful supply, and consisted chiefly of big half-fat animals. Prime vealors realised £1 10s to £2 2s 6dj hoavy and unfiniished £1 to £1 los, email and weedy 4s 6d to 19s. Storr Sifrkp. — The entry was again a small < no, a.ud these in I'otward condition sold rather better than has been the case recently. The sales included : — Ewes — 30 at Us lid, 73 at 10s (3d, 56 at 5* lid, 27 at 5e 9d : wcthera— 2l6 (two and four-tooth) at 16s 4d ,to 16s od, 176 at 14s od, 35 at 12s 6d ; lambs — 100 at 9s lid, 33 at 9s 7d, 140 at 9s Id. Fat Shkef. — -The entry was a large one, and the sale opened briskly. Pigs. — The entry of fats was small and tho demand exceedingly keen. Baconers realised 44s to 495, and far hea-vy sorts 50s to 70s, equal to od to oid per lb.; porkers 35s to 48s, equal to' ojd to 6£d per lb. Stores slw were iscare-a and, sold readih' at the following rate« : — Medium sixe "20r, to 265, small 12s to 19s, weaners 6s to 11s 6d.
