♦ Merasrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable message from their London office, dated June 6: — "The demand for lamb continues and runs principally on heavy weights. There is a better demand for mutton, which .runs principally on finest qualities. Tho maa-ket for beef is firm. We quote New Zealand 'prime cross-bred lamb, Canterbury heavy s*d, light- s§d, North Island heavy S\d, light sd ; New Zealand prime- crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy 33d, light 4ijd, N'Oirth Island heavy 3g-d, light 4d; New Zealand prim© ox beef foroquarteins 3j}d, hindquarters 3|d. Australian prices are unchanged. There is a poor demand fcr frozen iiork; we quote- prices od per lb. There i.s a poor demand for rabbit skins in general. L'p to< the present 1600 bales offered and 1017 sold. Prices are lower for brsfc quality by Id to Id. Common low season lid to 2d, and for greasy on the average prices are lower- by 2d, and sometimes virtually unsaleable."
