At the Kalgoorlie pedestrian championship contests, the attendance was 15,000. , Postlo defeated Day, the English champion, by three yards in the 75yds race, in 7 l-ssec. In the 300 yds race he finished three yards in front of Day, in 30 4-sfiec. Day attributes his defeats to ill-luck, not having been given time to get a proper start. Ho challenges Postle to rerun the races.
